BOOKING CONDITIONS


- The request for availability isn't binding and doesn't act as contract neither for the client nor for Castello Tafuri.

 - The booking request represents an order Form and therefore binding for the client but not binding for Castello Tafuri, on whose part remains free not to accept the booking.

- The booking confirmation sent by Castello Tafuri to the client is binding for both parties and establishes a binding contract.

- All reservations must be reconfirmed by email accepting the hotel’s cancellation conditions.

- In some periods a minimum stay of five nights is required.

 

To be communicated at booking time and in the same email:

- Any intolerances and allergies

- Communicating/Adjacent rooms for families or acquaintances

- Request for specific services

- Preferences relating to room arrangement (Ground Floor, First/Second  Floor etc ...)

- Any requests for Late Check-in or Late Check-out.

ASSISTANCE DURING TRAVEL

- You may request that Europ Assistance provide the following services also in the event of COVID-19 epidemics/pandemics during Travel, directly affecting: you, a family member travelling with you, as long as they are insured, a travel companion, as long as insured.

- VEHICLE ASSISTANCE (Roadside assistance service and Recovery)

- ASSISTANCE TO FAMILY MEMBERS STAYING AT HOME (Medical Consultation and sending of a physician or ambulance in Italy)

 

MEDICAL EXPENSES COVER

Europ Assistance pays or refunds you for any urgent medical/pharmaceutical/hospital expenses that cannot be deferred, incurred at the place of the claim, during your Travel.

The maximum cover per Insured Party and per duration period of the insurance cover is as follows:

- Euro 1,500.00 if you are resident in Italy for stays in Italy;

- Euro 5,000.00 if you are resident in Italy for stays abroad;

- Euro 5,000.00 if you are resident abroad for stays in Italy.

 

INDEMNITY COVER FOR HOSPITALISATION

If, within 10 days of your return from Travel, you were hospitalised for at least 5 consecutive days with COVID-19, Europ Assistance will pay you an Indemnity of Euro 1,000.00 per Claim.

 

LUGGAGE COVER

Europ Assistance will indemnify you up to a maximum of Euro 750.00 per claim and per term of the policy.

 

DELAYED DELIVERY OF LUGGAGE

Europ Assistance will reimburse you for unforeseen expenses you may need to incur to purchase articles of personal hygiene and/or clothing necessary. This applies up to the limit to liability of Euro 250.00 and only for delays in delivery to the destination airport of outward bound travel.

 

TRAVEL CANCELLATION COVER

You can request this cover when you need to cancel or alter the Travel booked for reasons or events that can objectively be documented, which are unexpected and not known to you at the time of travel confirmation, affecting you and/or your family members directly.

You can also request this cover when you need to cancel or alter Travel after testing positive for COVID-19, confirmed by positive tests, affecting:

- you and/or your live-in family members directly;

- your travel companion directly.

Europ Assistance reimburses the full amount of the penalty charged for the cancellation or change of Travel up to the maximum of Euro 5,000.00 for the entire stay booked. 

 

TRAVEL QUOTA REIMBURSEMENT COVER

If you, your family member travelling with you or your travel companion, are forced to interrupt Travel in the event of:

- hospitalisation for COVID-19 epidemic/pandemic;

- forced quarantine due to COVID-19;

- rules/orders issued by the supervisory bodies of your country of origin that force you to return to your place of residence early;

Europ Assistance will reimburse you the cost of the stay not enjoyed for the number of days until completion, starting from the day on which it was interrupted.

 

TRAVEL EXTENSION COVER

If you and/or one of the people in the same room/unit test positive for COVID-19 during your stay at the Accommodation Structure, Europ Assistance will reimburse you for the cost of extending the stay (food and accommodations) up to a maximum of Euro 100.00 per day for a maximum of 15 days, per Insured Party and with a limit of Euro 250.00 per day per room/housing unit during the Cover period.

 


BOOKING CONFIRMATION

- The reservation becomes binding for Castello Tafuri once deposit payment receipt is received.

- The deposit amount is 30% of the total price, excluding optional services.

- The payment notification must be sent by email to info@castellotafuri.it

- The client’s duty is to send the deposit payment receipt within the indicated time period to Castello Tafuri so that the option is removed and the booking is definitively confirmed.

 At that time, Castello Tafuri will undertake to send the client confirmation e-mail.

- Guests wishing to receive an invoice for their stay are kindly requested to communicate their will at booking confirmation step as well as to promptly communicate the client/company details for their issue, otherwise Castello Tafuri will regulate and deliver a simple tax receipt.


PAYMENT METHODS

You can proceed to pay the deposit by:

- bank transfer in EURO to our bank account as indicated by email from Castello Tafuri management.

- Paypal

- Credit Card. In this case, the Castello Tafuri management will proceed to credit card validity check. If this examination is not successful, the reservation will be considered invalid.


STAY CONDITIONS

To be a guest at Castello Tafuri it needs to show a valid identity document; the absence of it, will entail non-acceptance of guests.

- Check-in after 15:00;

If guests arrive at night, especially after midnight, they are asked to inform the hotel prior to their arrival.

In the event of check-in from 23:00 to 7:00 a supplement of € 50.00 will be charged.

- Check- out by 10:00 of departure day; for late check - out, beyond the indicated time period, a Day-Use supplement will be applied.

- Breakfast from 7:30 to 10:00. Timetables may vary due to guests’ special needs and / or for the season changes.

- The rooms are all non-smoking.

- It is not allowed to invite external guests in the rooms and suites.

- The use of the swimming pool is reserved exclusively for hotel guests.

- Animals are not allowed.

 

The rooms are equipped with:

- Double bed

- LCD TV

- Mini-bar

- Safe-deposit box

- Phone

- Free Wifi

- Air conditioning

- Hairdryer

- Courtesy set


ROOM RATES

- ROOM Rates include Bed and Breakfast.

- The rates are for two people per room with an extra bed supplement at the daily rate, including breakfast.

- Children: Special rates for children up to 14 years old.

Upon arrival (check-in), guests are obligated to provide identity documents certifying their children day of birth; failing that, the adult extra-bed rate will be applied.

- Infants: 0-4 years for free with parents.

- Cot rental € 10 per day, to be reported at the booking time. We accept own baby cots for free.


BOOKING CANCELLATION

- The booking cancellation must be sent in writing.

- Castello Tafuri reserves the right to apply a penalty as per the policy indicated below:

STANDARD/FLESSIBLE RATE

- Free up to 7 days before arrival date.

- 30% of the total amount for cancellation request between 6 and 1 days before arrival date.

- 90% of the total amount for cancellation request within 0 days preceding the arrival date or no-show.

TOP/PREPAID

- Not Refundable

 

- 90% for unused rooms, early departure, late arrival.

 In the event that a cancellation results in a refund, an amount equal to 2.5% of the total refundable amount will be retained to cover card transaction fees.


JURISDICTION

These terms and conditions are governed by Italian law, and any dispute arising between the parties is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Catania.

The signing of reservations implies knowledge of the Booking Condition above listed. If some of these conditions become invalid or if a gap occurs in them, the validity of the remaining conditions cannot be called on question.


INFORMATION CHANGES ON RESERVATION CONDITIONS

The owner reserves the right to modify, update, add or remove portions of these Terms & Conditions at it own discretion and at any time without notice.

Therefore, please, check these Terms and Conditions regularly for updates and changes that may occur.

The Booking Conditions will contain an indication about the date of last update.
